Safety Critical Courses

5 Day's - The aim of this course is to refresh delegates knowledge of Controller of Site Safety Supervisor (COSS) duties when planning and implementing safe systems of work.
Prerequisite;
Minimum age 18
Hold PTS, IWA & COSS Competence
Meet the medical requirements of NR/L2/OHS/00124 Competence specific fitness medical requirements
Meet the D&A requirements of NR/L1/OHS/00120
4 log book entries or sentinel logs since last interim assessment
Evidence of 4 practices within the last 12 months.

8 Day's - The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the skills and underpinning knowledge required to undertake Controller of Site Safety (COSS) duties. Including the requirements as laid down in Handbook 6 (general duties of an IWA), Handbook 7 (General duties of a COSS), Handbook 8 (IWA, COSS or PC blocking a line), Handbook 9 (IWA or COSS setting up a safe system of work within a possession), Handbook 10 (duties of the COSS and person in charge of a hand trolley), Handbook 13 (duties of the person in charge of the siding), Conductor Rail Permit (CRP) and Overhead Line Permit (OLP).
